With their head office in Ikeja, this supplier of heavy equipment gave us the opportunity to collaborate with their architects to provide the best techniques in interior design solutions and installation.

The brief received from the client was to convert an ordinary work space into a comfortable work-play area where work could be carried out efficiently, while encouraging the staff to enjoy use of the office space. From the moment you step into this office you are greeted by unique pieces and a well lit welcoming reception area. Contemporary materials like corian were used for the reception counters, as well as led-lighted accent walls made from melamine laminate boards, and contemporary coloured accent furniture. We fused the wood with lights on the feature walls to make the space brighter and introduced break out areas, social hubs and informal meeting areas, making the work-environment more comfortable regardless of whether the activities carried out were formal or informal. Other features of this space included, the use of light colours like yellow to complement the melamine wood, and use of other contemporary materials like glass partitions, quartz and use of brush stainless steel for the cafeteria/restaurant areas.
